1. Cookie

NAA Retailing Corporation (hereinafter the “Company”) obtains certain information by using cookies. Cookies are small data files (text data) stored in your devices, such as personal computers, smartphones, and tablet devices that can be connected to the internet, when you visit the Company’s website. The cookies the Company uses are categorized into the following three types.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Cookies necessary for the use of the website
  • Statistics cookies: Cookies for generating aggregated data on website usage
  • Marketing cookies: Cookies for displaying relevant content and advertisements

2. Cookie Management Method

There are multiple ways to manage cookies that are used while you are visiting the Company’s website. You can disable cookies by changing the settings in your browser. Regarding how to configure your browser’s settings to delete or deny cookies, visit the help page of the following browsers.

From the Cookie Declaration on the Company’s website, you can also delete or individually select cookies that have been configured.

However, the cookies that the Company uses include ones that are essential in running the Company’s website as well as ones for the improvement of the use of the Company’s website. If you do not accept these cookies, some features of the Company’s website may be limited.

3. Use of Google Analytics

The Company uses Google Analytics, which is a website analytics service provided by Google Limited Liability Company (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics uses some cookies to analyze website usage. Normally, data generated by cookies are transferred to and stored in the Google’s server in the United States.

On this website, the Google Analytics IP anonymization feature has been activated. In this case, your IP address is anonymized (so called IP masking). Only in exceptional cases will the user’s full IP address be sent to Google’s server in the United States, then it will be shortened there.

On behalf of the Company, Google processes the data for the purpose of analyzing your website usage, creating reports on website behavior, and providing further services related to the use of the website. The IP address sent by your browser will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

4. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom

Based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation of the European Economic Area as well as the General Data Protection Regulation of the United Kingdom (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “GDPR”), the Company obtains and properly manages cookies of those who access the Company’s website from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

(1) Based on the GDPR, the Company protects your cookies by processing them only within the scope necessary for certain purposes. The Company also processes your cookies if:
①you have given consent to the processing thereof (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR);
②it is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps for entering into a contract (Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR);
③processing is necessary for the Company to comply with its legal obligations (Article 6 (1) (c) of the GDPR);
④processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of you or a third party, such as in the event of medical emergencies (Article 6 (1) (d) of the GDPR); or
⑤processing of the personal data is necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests of the Company or a third party and if your rights based on an applicable data protection act does not supersede such interests (Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR).

(2) If you are accessing the Company’s website from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have a right to:

①request a disclosure of cookies (e.g. purposes, types, where they are sent to, retention period, and where they were obtained from);
②request a correction of cookies;
③request a deletion of cookies;
④request a limitation on the processing of cookies;
⑤submit an objection to the processing of cookies;
⑥request for data portability;
⑦withdraw your consent to the processing of cookies.
However, note that the rights listed above are not absolute and that they do not necessarily apply to all situations. Furthermore, the Company will take the requested action only if it is possible upon checking the details of the request. If the Company decides to turn down your request due to reasons such as application of exceptions based on statutory provisions, it will notify you of the reasons at the time of replying to your request. Records of your requests submitted to the Company will be retained so as to make it possible to check if the Company is complying with its legal obligations.

(3) Management and Deletion Method of Cookie

Provision of cookies is neither a legal requirement nor a contractual requirement, and therefore you are not required to provide them.
Based on the GDPR, you may disable cookies at any time by changing the settings of your browser or by changing your consent regarding cookies to deny or delete cookies (refer to the aforementioned “2. Cookie Management Method”). If you deny cookies, you may not be able to use the Company’s website or some services you request.

(4) The Company has set up a point of contact for responding to inquiries, feedback, etc. from you regarding your cookies that the Company uses, and the Company responds to them to the extent reasonable and necessary, upon the necessary confirmation of your identity or that of your agent. Note that it may take some time for the Company to respond depending on the situation.

You have the right to submit a complaint to supervisory authorities if you are not satisfied with the Company’s reply regarding your inquiry or if you think that cookies are handled improperly.
The “supervisory authorities” in such case refer to the supervisory bodies of the member country in which you reside, you work, or an infringement of your rights has taken place.
